2026 SPRING COLLECTION
an endless spring
This winter wasn’t a familiar one. We were eager to be greeted by winter’s briskness, but instead found ourselves waiting, caught in a season that lingered somewhere between memory and expectation, never quite arriving the way we knew it should. Thus bringing us an endless spring.
Working on this collection felt strange- pulling from memory and photographs, moments of spring while trying to be present in winter, that was never truly there. With these warmer days in solitude, when I would usually be out skiing, I was provided with more time to explore with my paints- creating pieces I am beyond proud of.
You will see common themes within this collection. The inconsistent shapes often spotted in my work is my meditation. I typically save those for the end, when the big scary pieces have been painted- this is my time to relax and enjoy what I have created. The western/folk borders are new- drawing from a western background, quilted patterns and European/folk art. I have been wanting to incorporate these designs in my paintings for some time now, so adding the borders felt very natural!
